Handprints Childcare Centre and Preschool in Wentworth Point

Handprints Wentworth Point was our third centre to open. With water views and located opposite the Ferry, we immediately felt that this site encompassed our philosophy and vision in regards to what is important in early childhood. With a natural yard and large open spaces, we feel that this service fits perfectly into our humble Handprints community.

We have a range of fee options with out of pocket costs starting as low as $51.63 per day (this amount will vary based on your personal circumstances). Contact us to discuss your needs and we will be happy to prepare a proposal matched to your requirements.

“Thea has enjoyed many experiences at Handprints. She loves Jim Jam and any outside or creative (messy!) activity. Thea loved taking Nibby ‘the travelling mouse’ to the UK for Christmas/New Year. She wanted Nibby to come everywhere and experience everything we did while on our holidays. She likes to go on excursions - the playground equipment in the School seems to be a particular favourite.”
— Claire & Mike, Thea’s mum & dad

At Handprints Wentworth Point, children are given the upmost respect from the Nursery room and up. Children are given the chance to explore and succeed in their learning through respectful interactions and environmental provocations. Our Preschool children are encouraged to find the balance between independence and the value of collaboration in learning. Located across the road from Wentworth Point Public School, this service has a strong connection to the local primary school and this aids in children’s successful transition to school.

What is the most exciting part your day at Handprints?

“Lewie likes coming to Handprints because he likes going in the Nursery and going fast asleep in the cots like ssshhhh!”

The children at Wentworth Point love to go on community excursions and take advantage of all the shops and transport available right at their door step. The educators at this service have a passion for family involvement. They want the service to be reflective of the local community and the experiences of each family group. They value the diversities of cultures within the service community and are consistently seeking feedback to ensure their representations are genuine. This service is a great place for the community to make connections and for the children to develop life long friendships.

Meet Angelina, Our Wentworth Point Director:

Hello, my name is Angelina Fossano and I am the Centre Director of Handprints ELC Wentworth Point. I am a university qualified Primary School and Early Childhood Teacher with over 10 years’ experience working alongside children from 0-12. I am also a mother to a spirited little girl named Ally who has set me on the journey of motherhood and all that it encompasses.

I value children’s ability to lead their own learning as they are confident, capable and have unlimited potential, thus always seeking to find out about their world and their place within it. As early childhood professionals we will respectfully support the children in their learning through guiding and facilitating their journeys of discovery and meaningful inquiry.

Our role is to therefore build partnerships with our families and the extensive Wentworth Point community hub to make visible the many different skills and  capabilities of the children entrusted into our care.  As after all, they are our youngest and most creative citizens!

We look forward to establishing our Handprints Wentworth Point community with our families and celebrating the adventure of the early years together.

“I am writing in regards to request of one more day for George. As we can clearly see him learn, grow and progress in the centre, we would like to push him a little bit further.”
— Leo, George’s dad

“I love Handprints already!”
